We have a few juniors entering competition this weekend and its great to see the players in competitive mode. When they are young there comes a point when they must move up a weight category – the transitions can happen fast but sometimes the players and your children will not change and its them that will remember this time – the jumps and weight plateaux’s that took them to where they are now. There will be successes and disappointments on the way, some of these down to the difficulty moving up a weight category (and also an age category) but this is what the challenge of Judo is.

If you are an adult, over forty, it’s slightly different – meeting weight….
